BALMAIN?

I know most are probably getting sick of Balmain..but I don't think I ever will... I was inspired by the silhouette from Christophe Decarnin's Spring 2009 line.. Shoulder pads with a fitted waist, low rise cigarette tie-dyed faded denim jeans, and some edgy heels!

Alligators, Cobra's, and snakes, OH MY!

Lately, I've been obsessed with Reptiles, or members of the class Reptilia ..which are air-breathing, cold-blooded amniotes that have skin covered in scales or scutes as opposed to hair or feathers.(thanks wikipedia)

I wore this dress to a Gilt Groupe event. Taghrid & I arrived at the event "fashionably" late until we realized it was over..haha It took place at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills right near Rodeo drive. It was beautiful inside and there were a few live bands that had ended up playing a few indie songs. One in particular reminded me of the Ting Tings and was comprised of one girl singing, and a guy playing the guitar. =] I must also mention that they have some great Lychee Martinis..

Shredded 90's grunge in fishbowl lense

I watched Romy & Michele's HS Reunion(1997) early this morning. It's probably one of my favorites..I just love to revisit the 80s/90's and I have to say, they're probably currently my favorite era's.

The gloomy weather made me lazy. Don't you just love it when you're stuck at work, and it's beautiful outside, but when it's your day off...The weather is sh*t. =]

Oh well, I will be going out to Old Town Pasadena tonight to watch a friend scratch & play some music! Hope you guy's have a fun night! If you're around the area, check out 21 FLAVORS! They've got some amazing yogurt, and no it's not like Yogurtland or Pinkberry. They were here way before their time!

"The Jungle Book"

I used to love this movie when I was younger..I need to watch it again. These shoes remind me of Pocahontas, Lion King, and Louis Vuitton of course..;] haha I fell in love with them the moment I layed my eyes upon them..I'll have to take a better picture of them since these just don't do enough justice.

Oh, Justice(The French Band), is an electronica duo. I've seen them twice during their Justice tour. I know this is old but Justice won best VMA of the yr @ the MTV Awards. So check it out if you haven't already! Its directed by the Oh so talented SOME.

I miss the sun, and I'm ready for it to come back. This is my favorite summer dress, its made out of a silk crepe and I love that it has no lining, even more perfect for the hot summer.

As for the shoes, I just got them last week! I first saw them on Jane from Seaofshoes, then just recently on Lucrecia from Fashionispoison...For just $169, which is really a fraction of the real deal, I could not resist! Thank you FS STORE/JEFFREY CAMPBELL! I'm sincerely sorry Ann =]
